Twilight detector to turn on night light or outdoor lighting at night fall until dawn.

* Dusk and dawn transition detection, with smart algorithm to avoid detection error due to night lighting or climatic condition.

* Synchronized network-detection.

All room-managers will watch for the sunset and the one who detect it first will tell the others to synchronize the transition time.

If for example a room-manager misses the dusk or dawn detection (because of public-lighting or blocked by the shades), the other room-manager will inform it when the transition time comes.

* Detection time range. You can define the twilight detection time range, for example from 5pm to 9pm, to avoid detection outside twilight time due to climatic conditions.

The Day&Night application detects the ambient lighting chages to detect the dawn and dusk transition.

* You can set the detection period for example from 6:00 to 9:00 for dawn, and 17:00 to 21:00 for dusk, to allow for seasonal and daily variations.

* Dawn detection:

The dawn is detected as transition from dark to bright within the transition period. It is necessary that the detection level is set above the night lighting for the transition to be detected. Avoid placing the room-manager right under a night light so it may detect the sun-rise properly.

* Dusk detection:

The dusk is detected as bright to dark transition within the detection period. For this detection to happen properly, the detection level should be placed below the daylight ambient lighting and above nightlights ambient with lights turned on. Obviously, placing the room-manager under very bright light will temper with this detection.

* Networked detection:

If more than one room-managers are installed within the same house, then detection can be done in a network. The first room-manager who detected the transition will report it to other room-managers who will then take the transition time. Therefore the dawn or dusk transition will happen at the same time in all the room-managers in the same house.

* Yesterday's detection.

If detection condition can not be observer at the beginning of the detection period (due to night lighting or climatic condition) then the detection time will be set the same as previous day's detection. Therefore, in rainy-days, the detection will happen as in the sunny-days of the day before.
